InfoBahn’s eCommerce platform is an economic way to get an e-commerce website built. The website comes with core features which provide the basic essential functionalities such as product management, order management, inventory management, integrated payment gateways, shipping management tools, wishlist, email & sms notifications triggering system, invoicing, sales report, et cetera required to run a successful online store.
The Site Software
Each website created using the InfoBahn eCommerce Platform uses WordPress, an Open Source Software used to build websites. WordPress is a web development tool and the most powerful content management system in the industry. It’s redundant, stable and most importantly secure.
It works on a theme and plugin architecture where themes are responsible for giving the website the look it needs whereas plugins extend functionality of the website, we call them extensions. InfoBahn’s eCommerce platform uses third party themes and plugins which means we do not build the themes and plugins we rather buy the themes and plugins from people who develop them and assemble them in a manner that give you the best experience.
After having tested hundreds different plugins, we use the most secure plugins developed by the finest and most trusted developers across the world. Whenever new features are added to the core or to the plugin (add-ons), the latest developments are automatically passed on to you at no additional cost.
Since the theme and plugins are not developed by us, features, support and customizations are limited to the respective theme or plugin developer’s terms of service & support. We do not customize the themes or plugins by editing its code but rather by tweaking the 1000’s of available settings.
While we handle support for the functionality for the themes and plugins offered in the core site software, support for additional themes and extensions must be requested on the respective developer channels.
Hosting & Performance
Your website is hosted on InfoBahn Servers, one of the most powerful computing engines available in the Industry. Our servers are powered Litespeed Enterprise Webserver and powerful Solid-State Drives. This ensures speed not just for your customers but also site administrators working in the Backend. Infobahn’s web hosting terms of service shall remain in effect wherever applicable unless explicitly specified otherwise.
Store Security
We have put in place about 15 layers of security at the network level, server level and application level with daily backups and malware & virus scans from time to time. That is all that we can discuss here for security reasons.
How we handle Hacked Sites?
While we manage security for your store, in the event, a site gets hacked, our team will work towards cleaning it up free of cost as the first step. In most cases our experts are able to clean it up in no time and no additional cost. However, in the following events additional charges might be applicable 1) If the cleanup task requires more than expert 2 hours, we will charge you an additional ₹1000 per hour after the first two hours. 2) If the clean-up requires us to hire an external consultant. This will be billed as actuals.
Site Software Updates & Maintenance
Just how when a new version of Android OR iOS is out, the corresponding apps need to update too. Similarly when WordPress updates, the themes and plugins used to provide the look and the features on site also need to updated. These updates are provided by respective developers of themes and plugins.
These updates include bug fixes, new features and security patches. Infobahn takes care managing these updates for you.
By agreeing to these terms of service you acknowledge that when themes or plugins update while it may offer addition of features sometimes developers even remove certain features.
Computing Power & Other Limits
You probably won’t have to worry about the technical limits for the first 3-5 years or you may never even approach these limits. When you approach these we will notify you and upgrade you to the next available package. However, there ways to ensure you always remain under these limits.
Website Storage
Firstly let me start by saying we have maintained an e-commerce website with over 2500 products under 3.7 GB (including images). Simply put if a website with 1000 products requires more than 10 GB of storage it simply means that the site is already having a serious load time issue which most likely is due to heavy images and must be optimized. A store with 1000 products should take up between 1-2 GB of storage space. All websites on InfoBahn come with an image compression third party service by TinyPng
However, with every year that passes by, you and your customers will add more and more files. These files could be product images or images uploaded by customers depending upon your website features and the add-on extensions you are using or will use. We have already allotted enough storage space per package + a separate storage for backups with a 30 days backup rotation. Your website may never approach these limits, but these are just some limits put in place to prevent exploitation of storage space. So incase your website demands more storage we will notify you and ask you to upgrade to the next available package.
Database
Each store uses a MySQL database. A MySQL database is similar to an excel file that stores information in a tabular format. In our case information of all products, orders, customers and almost all the text-data, submissions and uploads on your website and more. So let’s say you have an excel sheet in which you want to search for or add something, but the more data you add to the excel sheet the heavier it gets and searching and adding information requires more computer power which if not available might slow down your tasks. Now we wouldn’t want that happening to our website, would we? A similar case applies to your website. Over the years information or data on your website will grow (And we are sure even you want it to grow) demanding more computing power. So in order to maintain the performance and stability of not just your website but all websites on our servers we have set certain limits for each package. When your website will approach this limit we will recommend you to upgrade to the next available package.
Backups
For backups we use CodeGuard time machine for all websites on our network. The backup engine uses a differential backup system, meaning; Our system takes a full backup of your site the first time and then it takes backs up the changes made on day-to-day basis, saving a lot of space and making backup storage possible for longer. The Ecom Basic & Grow Package are allotted 5 GB of Remote Backup Storage for each site while the Ecom Scale Package is allotted 10 GB of Backup Storage. In this case when you approach this limit we will not ask you to upgrade your package rather recommend you to buy additional backup storage at very reasonable fee. Additional backup storage is billed at ₹100 per month per 10 GB
CPU, Memory, I/O & other resources
Every website on our network is allowed to use a certain amount of computing power as per their respective packages. This ensures that one website does not hogg all of the server resources. We use CloudLinux OS to manage these resources.

Extensions
Only the extensions listed on the Extension Store can be added to your website. The maximum number of extensions that can be added on the E-Com Basic package are 5, on the E-Com Grow package are 10 and E-Com Scale package are 20.
While these limits are usually enough, in case you wish to add more extensions to your store than the specified limits, we might ask you to upgrade to the next available package.

Why have we set these limits to the number of extension?
Adding more extensions can add additional load to your website and can hamper performance and page load times. Each package is allotted a certain amount of computer power, more extensions simply means more computing power, hence the limits. These limits ensure that your website is always performing optimal.
Free Consultation
We understand e-commerce is not easy especially if you’re launching for the first time. To make this easy for you we offer free consultation to our customers. We have the exclusive right to deny this service on grounds of faulty behaviour, exploiting our services or for any ethical reason. While we offer 2 – 4 hours of free consultation depending upon your package, if you are still on the trial package you can only use 1 hour of free consultation unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

Third-party Tools & Services
Infobahn is not responsible for the availability or functionality of any third party tool or service or the loss or damage caused due to the same. Any third party tools and services may incur other charges and you agree to pay the said charges wherever applicable. Terms Of Service of all third party service providers shall remain in full effect.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT, SSL SERVICES, YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE OUR WEB SITE(S) OR THE MATERIALS AND CONTENT OF THE WEB SITE(S) OR ANY OTHER WEB SITES LINKED TO SUCH WEB SITE(S) OR YOUR PROVISION OF ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION TO BACKEND SERVICE PROVIDER OR ANY THIRD PARTY. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER BASIS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR SUCH DAMAGES WERE REASONABLY FORESEEABLE.
